So far I've played 1 and 2 Blu-ray DVD on this player. I use a 30-foot cable to a projector that offers HDMI functionality in 1080. With DVD you can actually see the effect of up-conversion with the sharpest image. Blu-ray picture is amazing, but in both cases, Blu-ray, the picture froze a few times here and I had some rewind or fast forward to make the restart. This is my first experience with both the Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray, so I can not really say what might be causing the block. I hold my opinion until you play the same movies with another player. Other than that, this player features and qualities of life to everything it offers.
