After reading most of the reviews here to see if Blu-ray is worth its weight in gold, I decided to go. But very, very limited jargin technique with my feelings that I wanted to see an impressive picture. The cover, you must kill to get the DVD in immaterial to me, until the image quality is speed. I have a Samsung HD TV flat screen as the set-up seems to complement each other. I had to call tech support when I could not get a picture, but fortunately the person was very helpful and showed me through the mess. Other interesting features, such as, Netflix, Pandora, tap Blockbuster are very nice. I do not have to worry about upgrades, so there were no problems.
Overall, I was impressed by the quality. As I said, I just know if it's something worth watching and you just did. I also put a standard DVD LOTR Return King and the cave of Arachne, the detail inside the cave was much clearer to see.
Overall, the price was very, very happy. I can not afford an expensive player, what was for me a great non-expensive Blu-ray!
